My earlier post was about toddler sickness and I wanted to share with you my secret weapon for treatment. Introducing……… Cold n’ Cough by Hyland’s.  A little about the product before the actual review. It’s recommended for children ages 2 and up. It comes in the form of liquid as most medicine, with various flavors. Cold n Cough is all natural, homeopathic medicine used to treat symptoms such as sore throat, coughing, sneezing and running nose. Its affordable and can be purchased at your local drugstore for about $8.00.

I was nervous to even give Jen medicine because I couldn’t find anything for children two and under. When I researched, yes told you I Google everything, there was all these articles about not medicating a child this young. I spoke with Jen’s pediatrician over the phone and she shared the same opinion as the articles, basically emphasizing the child’s safety and the possibility of over medicating and possibly losing your kid. I was at a loss; nobody likes to watch their child suffer. As I explained the situation to Jen's daycare provider she recommended Cold n' Cough. Thank god for her! I absolutely love this medicine. There is no taste really. Jen actually drank this, of course with the normal 2-year old resistance. It did not make her sleepy or drowsy. She had no negative reactions. Initially I was weary because Jen had a vomiting fit to Kids Relief, which is another natural medicine. I just follow the directions using the cap and dosage amounts. Generally I notice results in 4-6 hours of administering.  I don’t like to give my daughter medicine unless her symptoms are bad or prevalent more than 4 days. Only negative or downside is, Cold n’ Cough doesn’t reduce fever.  If Jen has a fever I would give her pedia care, exclusively. Once her fever subsides I administer Cold n’ Cough, never two medicines at the same time.

I definitely recommend Cold n' Cough by Hylands for any young child. I really works. It gets five stars!!!!!
